Change they say is inevitable..
No one could have predicted that the 2020 will be moving as it is.
The corona virus pandemic has ushered in series of changes to man in every sphere of life..
We all have had time to reflect over and over and learn, un-learn and relearn a couple of things.
Find below 7 lessons I learnt personally:
1. Good health in underrated.
Anyone who has gone through an illness or sickness would definitely not agree less. The point where the pandemic became 'the survival of the best immune system' made us all realize that a weak body cannot carry a great mind. It is of utmost importance to take care of your body by eating well (balanced diet), taking fruits, drinking a lot of water, exercising and a lot more. Which one do you enjoy the most? Tell us in the comment section.
2. Live life per second, the next is in God's hands.
What about the things we wanted to do that we kept on postponing till the pandemic came?
We now know that we should spend each second of the day doing the things that give us joy, the things that matter most to us because we just never know.
3. Cherish moments spent with loved ones.
A number of family members were separated for a long time as there were travel restrictions in almost every country and state.
A lot of people have also lost their loved ones to the pandemic. This is quite sad as the things that can be kept of the lost are the memories shared.
Now more than ever before, we cherish the presence of that naughty brother, that nagging wife, that over bearing mum because we never can tell when time will be up.
Do take pictures and capture events in videos as well.
4. True spirituality is not in the building.
Not only were travel restrictions made, large gatherings which includes religious gatherings as well couldn't hold and can't still hold in some parts of the world.
What that tells us is that in as much as communal anointing and blessings abound, the place of a personal encounter and revelation of who God really is is important.
I hope that we take that part of our lives seriously.
5. Personal hygiene is important.
During the Ebola season, we all got used to using our hand sanitizers but shortly after that, everyone went back to their old lives.
This pandemic has brought back to our faces the importance of personal hygiene. The frequent washing of hands and use of the hand sanitizers has gradually become a norm in the society.
6. Get a hold of your personal finance.
This hit first when we all had to stuck our homes with enough foodstuffs when the total lockdown was declared. A lot of people who didn't have savings were cut unawares.
Asides that, a lot of companies have had to downsize or go through pay cuts. This can be really sad but we all should take up the responsibilities of being the Chief Financial Officers of our lives, have emergency funds and make investments.
7. We can effectively work from home.
Yessssss... This was a reality a lot of organizations had to face. Most never thought that the idea could be effective.
While some organizations had facilities in place to pull through, some organizations struggled and are still struggling to fit into that.
Technology made us all realize that there's so much that can be done remotely..working, schooling, religious gatherings and so much more.
This is not an exhaustive list so we will like to hear from you in the comments section
Love always 💜

One thing I have definitely learnt during this period is that ones mental state is also important and should also be given utmost attention 😊
